The marine rail bridge will connect Khalifa Port with the UAE National Rail Network
08 November 2021, Abu Dhabi, UAE: Etihad Rail, the developer and operator of the UAE National Rail Network, announced the completion of 50% of the construction works of the marine rail bridge in the UAE, as part of Package B of Stage Two of the UAE National Rail Network. The marine rail bridge extends over one kilometre, connecting Khalifa Port with the UAE National Rail Network.
The bridge will play an important role in improving the transportation of goods in the region, reducing the costs of freight and trade. New Cruise Terminal to be Developed by AD Ports Group as Part of Strategic Plan to Enhance Maritime and Tourism Sectors
Abu Dhabi, UAE – Sept 19, 2021: AD Ports Group, a leading facilitator of trade and logistics, has signed a Heads of Terms agreement with the Aqaba Development Corporation that will see AD Ports Group take on the establishment of a state-of-the-art cruise terminal at Marsa Zayed in Aqaba.
It will be the first facility to be developed by AD Ports Group in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and its first cruise facility outside of the United Arab Emirates.

1 September 2021 2021: The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released July 2021 data for global air cargo markets showing that demand continued its strong growth trend.
As comparisons between 2021 and 2020 monthly results are distorted by the extraordinary impact of COVID-19, unless otherwise noted, all comparisons below are to July 2019 which followed a normal demand pattern.
• Global demand, measured in cargo tonne-kilometers (CTKs*), was up 8.6% compared to July 2019. Overall growth remains strong compared to the long-term average growth trend of around 4.7%.
• The pace of growth slowed slightly compared to June which saw demand increase 9.2% (against pre-COVID-19 levels).
