Abu Dhabi, 19 August 2024: This year’s the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) 2024 see the return of its famous Falcon Auction with bidding for prize birds being available for both visitors to the exhibition and through an online platform.

Taking place under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers’ Club, this year’s ADIHEX will welcome record numbers of visitors and exhibitors from around the world.

With captive-breeding falcon programs flourishing, entrepreneurs in the sector can leverage the investment potential of premium falcons to secure substantial returns in this niche but increasingly lucrative market. The Auction, which will attract a global profile of top international breeders to present the highest quality falcons for an elite group of enthusiasts, can be accessed physically at the exhibition and online to ensure an expanded audience of bidders.

Organised for the first time by Capital Events, the events management arm of ADNEC Group, in collaboration with the Emirates Falconers’ Club, the largest edition of ADIHEX staged so far will be hosted at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi from 31 August to 8 September 2024.

On Saturday 31st August, Sunday 1st September, Saturday 7th September, and Sunday 8th September, the physical auction will be held in the ADIHEX Main Arena between 7pm and 10pm.

The Auctions focus on breeding premium birds that meet the highest specifications for both novice and seasoned falconers of all nationalities, ensuring accessibility and diversity in the falconry community. With all the birds having been bred for exceptional performance in hunting and competitive arenas, bidders can take advantage of a superb opportunity to invest in a falcon that reflects both traditional breeding and training knowledge and innovative nurturing.

For the first-time ever at ADIHEX, bidders will have the opportunity to make online bids for premium falcons that will be showcased in a special viewing area at ADIHEX 2024. Through this exclusive and innovative new feature, bids for 10 top-rated falcons with detailed falcon bio information can be made through a virtual auction platform accessible worldwide.

The final auction on Sunday 8th September will be preceded by an exclusive Falcon Beauty Contest. Exhibitors from across the globe will participate with their prized falcons in a spectacular parade before a distinguished panel of judges, who will nominate the champion birds from what promises to be a spectacular competition featuring some of the world’s finest falcons.

By enhancing conservation through innovation, the Falcon Auction showcases the UAE’s pioneering role in the captive-breeding of falcons through sophisticated scientific applications that not only sustain but also increase falcon populations worldwide. With a reputation built over two decades as the leading regional event of its kind, ADIHEX will provide a sumptuous setting for the Auction as one of the exhibition’s most exceptional highlights.

The Falcon Auction will take place within a packed agenda of activities, performances, and competitions that focus on the UAE’s proud heritage while embracing innovation.
