Abu Dhabi, 2   September 2024: The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) has welcomed children from schools across Abu Dhabi for an educational and interactive visit to the exhibition. As part of our commitment to nurturing the next generation's understanding of Emirati heritage and traditions, ADIHEX has curated a special guided tour with a range of engaging activities and workshops tailored to inspire and educate young minds.

Throughout the week, guided school visits will include an exclusive itinerary designed to offer students a rich experience of Emirati culture, heritage, and sustainability practices through various interactive sessions, activities, and live demonstrations.

The visit will begin in the Preservation of Environment & Cultural Heritage sector with an Arts & Crafts Workshop led by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority. Here, students will engage in traditional Emirati heritage crafts, providing a creative introduction to the UAE's cultural heritage.

Next, students will attend an Educational Session by the Emirates Falconers' Club, where they will learn about the breeding and care of falcons, a practice deeply embedded in Emirati tradition. This will be followed by the Mohamed Bin Zayed Hunting Experience — an interactive workshop that teaches the art of hunting with falcons, focusing on sustainable hunting practices and tips on falcon breeding and care.

The tour will continue with Falconry-Themed Activities presented by the Zayed National Museum. Students will participate in crafting activities, such as clay imprinting and falcon hood making, which are designed to connect them with the heritage of falconry in the UAE.

Moving to the Hunting & Camping Equipment sector, children will join an Educational Session on the Al Ghaf Tree. This session will highlight the cultural importance of the al ghaf tree and include an interactive activity where students learn how to handle seedlings and sustainably grow these iconic trees.

In the Equestrian Zone sector, the Emirates Arabian Horse Society will host fun and engaging equestrian-themed games and activities. This will be complemented by an Awareness Session with the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police, featuring the K9 unit to raise awareness of animal welfare and sustainability.

The Dhabian Equestrian Club will offer students the chance to participate in equestrian-themed arts and crafts and learn the essential skills of horse grooming and care. The experience continues in the Arena, where children will witness thrilling Live Demonstrations and Shows by skilled animal riders, trainers, and sports professionals.

Finally, the visit will conclude at the Fayoonah Kids Zone, featuring a range of exciting activities and workshops designed to educate and inspire. Students will take part in science experiments, calligraphy workshops, Emirati cooking classes, and sustainable clothing design and creation.

ADIHEX remains dedicated to promoting awareness of the UAE's rich cultural heritage among the younger generation. We believe that these educational activities will inspire students to appreciate the diverse cultural and environmental traditions of the UAE while fostering a deeper understanding of sustainable practices.
