Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – 16 October 2026: With 50 days to go until the Formula 1® Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2026, the countdown is on to a season finale that delivers far beyond the track. Taking place from 3–6 December, the weekend promises high-stakes racing, global superstar concerts and unmatched entertainment. Yet, with so much to see, do and discover across Abu Dhabi, travellers also have their pick of unmissable experiences off the track.
To mark the 50 day countdown to race weekend, here are five ways to explore Abu Dhabi.
Experience the action from a new seat
W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island takes the idea of a trackside stay to another level: the circuit passes beneath the hotel, meaning hotel guests have some of the best views right from the comfort of their hotel rooms. Its distinctive architecture forms part of Yas Marina's silhouette, while selected areas offer uninterrupted views of the track.
The chequered flag is your cue for live music
When the race finishes, the evening is just getting started. The Yasalam After-Race Concerts bring global stars to Abu Dhabi Grand Prix week, with the 2026 line-up including Lewis Capaldi, Alex Warren, Imagine Dragons, The Chainsmokers and The Script.
Your race ticket can unlock another adventure
Eligible three and four-day ticket holders receive complimentary one-day access to either teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi or a Yas Island theme park: choose from Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi or SeaWorld Abu Dhabi.
There's more than adventure up for grabs
A Grand Prix ticket can also open the door to Abu Dhabi's cultural landmarks. Eligible multi-day ticket holders can receive complimentary admission to Louvre Abu Dhabi and Qasr Al Watan, making time for art, architecture and discovery around the race schedule.
Fun for the whole family on Friday - and it's free
Through Kids Go Free Friday, four-day ticket holders aged 21 and over can bring up to four children aged 3–12 at no additional cost, subject to registration and terms. With entertainment and interactive activities across the Fanzone and Oasis areas, Friday offers families an opportunity to enjoy all the Grand Prix has to offer together.
Explore Abu Dhabi beyond the trace
Beyond the race, Abu Dhabi invites visitors to turn a Grand Prix trip into a longer holiday. Golden beaches stretch along Saadiyat and Yas Islands, while the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque offers a moment of calm and architectural wonder. Venture into the Liwa Desert for towering dunes and stargazing or explore the mangroves at Mangrove National Park by kayak.
The capital's dining scene ranges from traditional Emirati flavours to acclaimed international restaurants, and its shopping malls and sun-soaked promenades make it easy to fill each day. With year-round sunshine, warm Emirati hospitality and so much to do, Abu Dhabi is a destination that offers something special for every visitor, whether they come for the roar of the engines or stay for the full experience.
