Since the debut of the DW-5000C in 1983, G-SHOCK has become synonymous with toughness and innovation. Designed by Kikuo Ibe, the DW-5000C introduced the brand’s signature shock-resistant construction, capable of withstanding a 10-meter drop and 10 atmospheres of water pressure, with a 10-year battery life. The Iconic Styles Collection pays homage to the original G-SHOCK colour scheme with thoughtful touches of red, blue, and yellow — each colour symbolising a core G-SHOCK trait: red for passion and boldness, blue for water resistance, and yellow for shock resistance. The Iconic Styles Collection:
- DW-5600RL – A direct evolution of the DW-5000C’s square silhouette, the DW-5600 reflects G-SHOCK’s minimalist design philosophy with a clean, compact look. Its simple digital display and shock-resistant construction remain true to the original blueprint while incorporating modern materials and enhanced functionality.
- DW-6900RL – First introduced in 1995, the DW-6900 features a round face with the distinctive 'Triple Graph' display and an oversized front button. The updated version includes a metal-clad construction for a more refined yet rugged appearance.
- GA-110RL – Launched in 2010, the GA-110 pushed the boundaries of watch design with its oversized, steampunk-inspired face. Gear-shaped hands, a rivet-style case, and vibrant colour combinations give the GA-110 its distinctive industrial-meets-futuristic aesthetic.
