'Ramadan Nights at the Park' returns to Umm Al Emarat Park, fostering shared family experiences during the Holy Month

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - February 13, 2026: Umm Al Emarat Park will welcome the return of Ramadan Nights at the Park this Ramadan, following the initiative's successful inauguration last year. The month-long programme is designed to offer families and friends a series of shared experiences that reflect the values of togetherness, cultural connection and reflection, in line with the UAE's Year of Family.

Set within the park's natural surroundings during Abu Dhabi's winter season, the programme embraces the spirit of Ramadan through a range of community-focused activities, providing a calm outdoor setting for visitors to gather, reconnect and observe the Holy Month.

Each evening, the Iftar cannon will mark the breaking of the fast at the park's Main Gate, beginning on the final day of Sha'ban at Maghrib prayer time.

From 19 February, families and friends will be able to gather at the Ramadan Garden, a dedicated outdoor space within the park, to enjoy Iftar in a tranquil environment accompanied by live oud music. The Ramadan Garden Iftar menu has been curated in collaboration with Emirati chef Mariam Al Mansoori, whose approach draws on Emirati hospitality, family traditions and recipes passed down through generations, presented alongside contemporary influences.

Iftar will be served daily at Children's Garden from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm and includes traditional Ramadan beverages. Special rates apply for children aged six to 12, with complimentary access for children up to six years old. Corporate Iftar options will be available for groups.

In parallel, the Ramadan Pop-up Market will take place every Friday and Saturday from 8:00 pm to 1:00 am at the Promenade. The market will feature a selection of small businesses and food vendors, alongside Ramadan-themed entertainment that highlights local entrepreneurship and community participation. Children and families will also be able to take part in a dedicated programme of Ramadan-themed activities every Friday and Saturday during market hours. Hakawati storytelling sessions, lantern-making workshops, interactive gaming stations, live Arabic music performances and appearances by traditional characters, offering engaging ways for younger visitors to experience the cultural aspects of the Holy Month.

A series wellness sessions will be hosted at the Evening Garden, providing opportunities for reflection, relaxation and mindful practice. The programme includes a Sound Bath under the Stars on 18 February at 5:00 pm, and a Full Moon Ceremony on 4 March at 8:00 pm.
